Carlos Fernández-Pello (1985) is an artist and researcher based in Madrid. He holds an MA in Art Theory and a PhD in Fine Arts at UCM, Madrid. Since 2013 he also runs his own design practice, Pucalpa, works as a freelance curator and he is one of the editors behind NUDO magazine. Recent and upcoming exhibitions include: Generacion 2017, La Casa Encendida, Madrid; Retrospectiva, Garcia Galeria, Madrid; The Garden of Parallax, Galería PM8, Vigo; Appeal to probability, Het Wilde Weten, Rotterdam; Iceberg, Matadero Madrid.
His doctoral dissertation dealt with the dialogue between image and text in the context of artistic knowledge. His current research lines range from surrealist Roger Caillois to american postmodern architecture going through mimicry, object-oriented software and institutional critique.
